An easy and quick way to build a Gingerbread house porch is to stack graham crackers to the desired height.  Frost the front edges and cover with chimney type decorations to look like the house foundation.

Build a roof for your porch by using candy canes to support your porch roof, which can also be made from graham crackers that are frosted and covered with matching roofing material as your Gingerbread house.

Be sure to first decorate the wall that is covered by your porch as it is very difficult to decorate a door or window that is covered by a porch roof AFTER the roof is created and in place.
